SEPA Payments Delay 15th March - 18th March 2024
From Friday afternoon 15th March to Monday 18th March, the European SEPA Payments Scheme will undergo a mandatory change. All Irish banks and credit unions may experience delays in payment processing over the weekend. As a result, SEPA payments (Euro payments across Ireland and the EU) made on Friday 15th March may not be credited to the beneficiary account until Monday 18th March and may not appear in customer accounts over the weekend as is the case normally. The Irish Banking and Credit Union Community advise all customers and members to make payments on Thursday 14th March or early Friday morning 15th March to ensure that the beneficiary account is credited on Friday 15th March.
